Sky Mind Retreats (SMR) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving wilderness meditation retreats. Our nature-based retreats are taught in the Buddhist tradition of Vipassana (“Insight”) Meditation. We balance solitude and silence with the supportive companionship of others who are seeking the joy and stillness of a sojourn in the wild. Wilderness meditation has long been understood to deeply support awakening. The stillness of wilderness combines with our mindfulness practice to open us to joy, presence, ease, and a new sense of our connection to the world.
